Hey all! I don't know if anyone is still following our blog because I haven't posted anything in so long. We are all doing really well. Tyler just finished his first year of pharmacy school so 3 more to go! Kemp is getting big and follows Hunter around everywhere. Hunter will start summer preschool to help keep him occupied and prepare for kindergarten. And I am training for a triathlon in Wheeling, WV.
We are enjoying the different weather here. It is very humid and rains a lot more here than it does in Utah. This morning at 5 a.m. we were awakened by an amazing thunderstorm. It was seriously crazy! So loud! And so bright that it hurt my eyes even through the curtains. It was actually really cool.
We love and miss all our Utah friends and family. Hope someone is still following our blog so we can keep in touch! Talk to you soon.

Hunter's 5th Birthday!

We went to Virginia Beach for Hunter's birthday. It was way fun but couldn't play at the beach much because it rained the whole time. So Hunter decided he wanted to play at the hotel pool all day. We had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack because Hunter wanted crab legs. And we went to see the MSS Wiscounsin battleship in Norfolk. It was huge! (that's what she said). He got his big present when we got back home. A new bike! He was so excited and picked it out himself. He wanted to get a spiderman bike but they were all too small. So he settled on this one and said, "yeah yellow is cool.".Posted by The Knights at 7:19 AM 1 comments

This poem was read at Ty's grandpas funeral, Mel Knight, it really describes his life and gives us courage to continue to sacrifice for greater things.
Good Timber
by, Douglas Malloch
The tree that never had to fight
For sun and sky and air and light,
But stood out in the open plain
And always got its share of rain,
Never became a forest king
But lived and died a scrubby thing.
The man who never had to toil
To gain and farm his patch of soil,
Who never had to win his share
Of sun and sky and light and air,
Never became a manly man
But lived and died as he began.
Good timber does not grow with ease:
The stronger wind, the stronger trees;
The further sky, the greater length;
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow.
Where thickest lies the forest growth,
We find the patriarchs of both.
And they hold counsel with the stars
Whose broken branches show the scars
Of many winds and much of strife.
This is the common law of life.
